Type Locality and Naming
Along the river Guzardarya, Southwest Gissar. S.Kh. Mirkamalova, G.A. Belenky, 1954 (301, pp.54-55).
Synonym: Guzarskaya Svita, Гузарская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Alluvial-proluvial brown-colored clays, siltstone (aleurolites), sandstones, gravelites, conglomerates. Thickness up to 800 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Lies with erosion on the Khodzhalchin Fm and older deposits, up to the Cretaceous
Upper contact
Unconformably covered by analogs of the Tashakyr Fm or unconformably Quaternary deposits.
Regional extent
Southwest Gissar, Kashkadarya depression, Beshkent depression, Karshinsky steppe.
